Biography

Dr Florence Fan graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, CUHK with honour in 2007. She received her basic physician and neurology training at the Department pf Medicine and Therapeutics, Prince of Wales Hospital. She was awarded the Best Dissertation Award by the Hong Kong Neurological Society in 2014. She got the Young investigator Research Grants in 2013 and 2017. Dr Fan worked as visiting research scholar and received her training on functional neuroimaging under the guidance by Professor Steven Cramer at the Department of Neurology, University of California, Irvine in 2016. She is dedicated in educating medical students and junior doctors. She was awarded the Exemplary Teachers Awards in 2013-2015 and the Best Medical Officer's Teaching Award in 2015 by the Faculty of Medicine, CUHK. She is currently the Associate Consultant and Honorary Adjunct Clinical tutor in the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, Prince of Wales Hospital. Her main research interests are in stroke prevention, stroke management and neurorehabilitation.
